Sheldon and I got up and left Nashville around 11am ready to make the 7 hour drive up to Chicago. We got to Chicago around 9pm and checked into our hotel. This is the second time that I stayed at the Aloft and I like it because it's cheap and very modern. Somewhat like the Hotel Indigo's that are located in major cities. That night we were gonna head downtown, but we were exhausted so we just stayed in and chilled.

We woke up around 8am and got ready to proceed to downtown Chicago. We walked over to the "EL" and took the train into town. We first went to the Willis (formerly Sears) tower and got amazing views of the city and Lake Michigan. We also went out on the new ledge that they built. After that we walked around downtown Chicago and went to Millennium Park and walked along the shores of Lake Michigan and the Chicago Yacht Club. It was COLD, however I did have a very hot dude to cuddle up to:) We made it along to Navy Pier and rode the well known ferris wheel. Later that evening, upon dusk, we went to the Hancock Tower to get nighttime views of the city. I have to say..this was so lovely! The cold weather really set the mood for cuddling and having a hot cocoa or latte. We got the warm up drinks on top of the Hancock at this little cafe overlooking the city. LOVED IT!!! After this we went to Wrigleyville to get some of the sights and headed back on the train to the hotel. Here are some photos from our Friday in Chicago:
